Why work with us

When you think about working in a dog day care environment what is it you think of?

Most people will think we spend all day hugging dogs and playing games with them, but it is so much more than that.

Yes, we get cuddles, and playing games, but we also have to clean up accidents, manage mixed personalities, do enrichment activities with the dogs and individual training sessions, and so much more. You need to be able to confidently talk to customers about their dogs (the good and the bad), think on your feet and read the room, so know when to leave the dogs to be dogs and when to intervene and stop something before it happens or escalates.

We are open Mon-Fri 0700-1900 (except for bank holidays, and the week between Christmas and New Year) so staff need to be able to cover those hours. We aren't asking you to work a 12hr day, but it can be tiring being on your feet with the dogs, so comfy shoes are a must.

Shifts are normally 0645 -1330 (with a 20min break) and 1300-1915 (with a 20min break) you could be out earlier on the late shift if all the dogs have been collected and all the cleaning, laundry and dishes completed. We like to alternate these so that every other weekend you get a little extra time off as you switch from early to late.

All staff need to be able to drive and if we need you to drive a company vehicle then you need to be over 25yrs old with a manual driving licence.
