Up to the age of 18mths we do not insist that your dog (male or female) is spayed/neutered, as we understand that many need to be able to have a season or reach maturity before they are spayed/neutered, but after 18mths we do require them to be spayed/neutered or for boys have the implant to signigficantly reduce the chance of mating by accident.
Please note if you have a female and she comes into season whilst at the Dog Adventure Centre she will be crated away from the other dogs until you come and collect her. This is to prevent the chance of accidental mating and reduce the chances of fights/harasment by other dogs as a result of the hormones that wil be flying around.
In season females will not be accepted in to the Dog Adventure Centre, until at least 10 days after they have finished spotting/bleeding
We believe the best way to prevent outbreaks of diseases like kennel cough, lepto or parvo is to insist that all dogs in our care are fully vaccinated against kennel cough, lepto and DHP. We do not currently accept titre testing or homeopathic alternatives.
It is a requirement for our license issued by South Kesteven District Council
Most of the dogs will be crated at some point during their time with us, as we use crates for feeding and if necessary to give the dogs some "time out". For those that will not eat in a crate or settle then by exception they may be fed in a pen or in the decompression area.
We try not to crate dogs outside of feeding or "time out"
It is important that to reduce the potential spread of parasites throughtout the Dog Adventure Centre doggy family that all dogs that attend are regularly treated for fleas and worms. If you r dog is suspected of having fleas or worms we will contact you to remove your dog from the centre, or get your permission to take them to the vets for treatment.
With the outdoor space we have at the Dog Adventure Centre it is not essential for the dogs to be leaving site to go for a walk to ensure that they do their "essential business". That said any stay at the Dog Adventure Centre can be upgraded to include a walk, and on occasion your dog may be taken out on a mini group walk if it is needed as part fo their training plan or we decide they can help another dog with theirs.
As a members only day care all users must have an active membership. With prices starting from just £10 per month we believe this a reasonable price to ensure your dog has access to what we believe to be the best dog day care in town
We do not take any dogs that are covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act and its amendments. With specific regards to XL bullies we do not accept them in to day care as we feel it would be unfair on them to have to be muzzled and on lead at all times because the day care is considered a public space.
